Dawson Marsh and Evie Blair finally get their story. Who would have believed that the flirt was really interested in the quiet, shy girl? Not Evie. They were coworkers who tease each other, but Evie could never accepted that Dawson was really interested in her, she did not want to get close to anyone and risk getting hurt. Until the kiss that changed them both. This story was heartfelt. Dawson is the consummate flirt, never serious about anything, but underneath, he battles with depression. Evie is not the confident women she portrays since her twin sister died and being bullied in high school. Their story evolved and you see how the characters grow and deal with their baggage. Depression is a really serious thing, even for people like Dawson who looks like he has it all, there is a lot of baggage that affects his relationships with everyone. It was wonderful how the story developed and you see the struggles the both went through to get them to accept that a relationship was possible. I loved the story, Ms. Croix did another wonderful job of tell their HEA. I can’t wait for Dani and Wade’s book! I received an advanced copy for my honest review.

Love this series! This is Dawson and Evie's story. Dawson has the reputation as a player, even if it's not totally true. He does love to tease and flirt, but everyone except Evie sees that it's different with her. Evie has been fighting her feelings for Dawson for 2 years, but all it takes is one truck ride back to the lodge to change her world. One kiss tilts both their words on their axis and now they will have to work their way through their new feelings and move past the baggage they both have and open up to each other. I love the banter, the drama, the passion, all the feels! I can't wait for the next book!!

Dawson has known Evie for two years and they have been bantering back and forth all that time. Dawson is a big flirt and was never without female company when he wanted it. He started slowing down, hardly drank and quit looking for easy women. Evie was at a wine tasting and someone bumped into her and her wine spilled all down her dress. Dawson was on his way out and asked if she needed a ride. Things take off from there. The story was very well written, interesting, fun, exciting and sexy as hell. Wonderful addition to the Swoon Series! I received an ARC and voluntarily left an honest review.
