About this ebook

This special omnibus edition contains books one to three in the internationally bestselling Jeremiah Hunt urban fantasy series.

Eyes To See

"I gave up my eyes to see more clearly."

Harvard professor Jeremiah Hunt's life fell apart in the wake of his daughter's disappearance. His obsessive search for her cost him his wife, his job, and his reputation. And now, thanks to a Faustian bargain he makes with the empty-eyed and enigmatic Preacher, it takes his sight as well. In return, he's granted the gift of seeing what others cannot; ghosts and other supernatural creatures of the night.

With the help of his ghostly companions – Whisper and Scream – he embarks on a new career banishing malevolent spirits that torment the living while continuing his search for clues to Elizabeth's fate. What begins as a search for his daughter turns deadly when a particularly cunning foe lays a trap that ends with Hunt accused of a series of brutal murders.

Now Hunt must fight not only to save his daughter's life but his own as well, against a dark and ageless foe that would use a father's love to set itself free.

King of the Dead

"Life as an interstate fugitive isn't easy, especially when the dead are determined to track you down."

Jeremiah Hunt sacrificed his sight in an arcane ritual that gave him the power to see the hidden world of ghosts and darker creatures that exist alongside us. In doing so, he uncovered a world of murder and magic that all but cost him his life.

Now Hunt is on the run from the FBI, who are convinced he's the mass murderer known as the Reaper. Getting out of town seems like a good idea, so when his companion, Denise Clearwater, a powerful witch, begins have visions of the city of New Orleans under supernatural siege, he's all for checking things out in person and trying to help.

But once they arrive, they quickly discover that the situation is far more dangerous than they could have imagined from afar. Not only is New Orleans at risk from a terrifying attack by forces from beyond the grave, but should the city fall, the world itself may very well follow. It's up to Hunt, Clearwater, and their shape-shifting friend, Dmitri Alexandrov, to turn back the army of Death himself before it is too late.

Watcher of the Dark

"That night, I discovered the monsters in our world and they, in turn, discovered me."

New Orleans was nearly the death of Jeremiah Hunt. Getting shot by the FBI was bad enough, but it paled in comparison to the soul-searing journey through the realm of the dead that followed. Never mind Hunt's do-or-die confrontation with Death himself. Hunt survived but doing so caused its own host of problems. An arcane ritual needed to reclaim the soul of the beautiful hedge witch who previously saved Hunt's life goes awry, forcing him on the run once more, this time to Los Angeles.

In the city of angels, Hunt must contend with one of its far-too-numerous devils, the magister Carlos Fuentes, who thinks Hunt can provide him with the mystical key that opens the gates to Hell itself. By threatening Hunt's beloved companions, Fuentes forces him to join his dread quest. Having the Preacher show up and call in his marker for helping Hunt in New Orleans just puts icing on the cake.

But Hunt's learned a thing or two in the months since his life was hijacked by his ill-considered devil's bargain and he has no intention of going down without a fight.
