About this ebook

This book is a captivating collection of articles, published on digital sites, that follows the life of an army officer who served the nation with pride. He writes his memoirs and gives a positive message at the end of each chapter. The articles flow from his university days to induction into the army and various adventurous events during the service. The book is not just a biopic, but each story has a message for the advantage of readers at large. It was created by an extrovert army officer, and the fraternity is known as introvert commensurate to their services. Nothing has been written in the book, which is against professional ethics. The book exhibits deep respect for the armed forces, which the octogenarian author respects like a young lieutenant today. Many chapters also talk about contemporary socio-political issues. The book is truly a reflection of memories and learning from the 1950s to the current era, which gives soulful company to thoughtful readers and thinkers. Born into the family of a revered freedom fighter, Devnath Singh, known fondly as Dadaji, Col. Lallan Singh's story began in 1937 in the quaint village of Bhateejan in Varanasi, now District Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh. An avid explorer of history, culture, literature, sports, and contemporary subjects, Col. Singh's vast knowledge ranges from Vedic mythology to modern-day literature and culture. Following a distinguished 30-year tenure in the Indian Army, Col. Singh retired in 1990. His unshakeable patriotism and deep philosophical musings are a testament to his unwavering commitment to the nation. Criticizing the widespread corruption and erosion of social values, Col. Singh remains steadfast in his positive outlook for India's growth on both defense-strategic and socio-economic fronts. A firm believer in Indian values, he advocates for their application across all aspects of life, including the army, civil, and political sectors. This book is a captivating collection of articles that follows the life of an army officer who served his country for 30 years. The chapters offer a beautiful blend of personal memoirs, reflecting on everything from his university days to the thrilling adventures he experienced during his service. But this is more than just a biography; each story carries a message that can benefit readers, making it a genuinely extroverted work from an author known for his introversion. Despite exploring his personal experiences, the author never compromises the ethical principles of a serviceman. The book is a beautiful reflection of his deep respect for the armed forces, which he still holds dear today, like a young lieutenant. Furthermore, the book delves into contemporary socio-political issues, providing readers with a reflective journey from the 1950s to the present day. It's a thought-provoking and insightful book that offers soulful companionship to those who enjoy reflecting on life experiences.
