I have been doing MSUS for 6 years and have seen many texts on the subject. This book is undeniably the best text on musculoskeletal ultrasound ever published, by a long shot. There are some minor errors, such as, they occasionally say "lateral" when they really mean "medial," there are some typo's, and sometimes figure panels are mislabeled, but this book has no equal. The chapters all begin with extensive anatomy reviews with excellent figures, diagrams, and pictures of gross dissection specimens, then a section on what scans of the normal structures should look like, and how to acquire them, followed by a section on pathology, replete with images obtained by the the best in the business, 2 docs who have been doing MSUS for 30+ years. I call it "The Gospel according to Carlo and Stefano." Worth twice the price. Shoulder chapter alone is worth the full price. Everybody who is serious about MSUS must own this book and wear out their hard copy reading it cover-to-cover. Yup, all 900+ pages. I learned a huge volume of info from it. Hard copy is quite heavy and weighs down your suitcase, so get the online version too.
