About this ebook

Life is encountered in events and images, in what is overheard and what is noticed in some little corner of awareness. Some of these flickers in life become as muses, tickling the imagination and inviting a wisp of verse. These become the familiarity that entertains the poet's mind and become, in turn, the poets for another mind.

About the author

I am a retired minister from the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) living in the hills of the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia. During the course of my ministry, I began writing poetry; that was in the early 1980s. The process and the product alike have been favorable to me. I began a few years of attendance on the online poetry workshop Desert Moon Review in April 2004, finding that involvement helpful to me as a poet. I live in retirement with my wife of nearing forty-seven years, a pair of dogs, and a handful of cats. A pair of ducks adopted us a few months ago, and they seem content to hang around.
