Storefront Assassin

The military trained Tina Clarke to be an assassin.

As a member of an elite, off-the-books team, called Squad Four, organized by Col James Raven, she ran covert missions for her country. But something went wrong. Abruptly, someone at a high level decided the squad had to be eliminated and all records of their existence erased.

But Tina survived. She was given a medical discharge and left totally in the dark about what exactly happened.

These are the stories of how she struggles to find out where she fits into a civilian world. She is a patriot who was trained in the art of assassination to protect her fellow citizens. A lawyer, and friend, points out that the law sometimes can’t help the people who need it the most. Sometimes her skills are the only thing that can help. And the poor can’t afford an assassin.

There are forces at work, government forces, working to keep any knowledge of Squad Four hidden. No matter what Tina does, if she wants to live, it will be outside the law.

Not knowing her enemy, she begins building a team that will help her learn the truth. Why was Squad Four betrayed? More importantly, who did it? When she finds the answers she is after, then she’ll decide what to do about it.

And she has to earn a living. In the same way a storefront lawyer provides legal aid to the poor, her team will provide the poor with something that is otherwise only available to the rich—an assassin.
