As the only remaining child of the Bouvards, Natalie has one job: to find and capture the XDs that stumble through rips in spacetime, before their foreign atoms cause problems. It’s always seemed straightforward: these creatures threaten the integrity of their universe, and they’re probably what killed her brother.

But when Natalie is finally let in on the Bouvard family’s biggest secret, she realizes that there might be more to her brother’s disappearance than she was told. If she really wants answers, she’ll have to brave the Underground—the pocket dimension where all surviving XDs are kept—and find out for herself how exactly the family business works.
