About this ebook series

As stated in Proverbs 25:2 (New King James Version)

“It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,

But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.”

 Every believer has been made a royal priesthood; a king-priest.

God has hidden the Good News of His beloved Son in human flesh as Jesus the Christ in the Old Testament. It is our privilege and honor to search Him out.

It is written in Proverbs 4:20-22 (New King James Version),

 “My son, give attention to my words;

Incline your ear to my sayings.

Do not let them depart from your eyes;

Keep them in the midst of your heart;

For they are life to those who find them,

And health to all their flesh.”

Jesus is the Word (John 1:1, Amplified Bible). When we find the Word (Jesus) in the Old Testament, we get the immediate benefits of life and health to all our flesh.

Our loving Father God has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in Whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins (Colossians 1:13-14). Jesus Christ and Him crucified is our righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21).

There is a promise of reward for seeking out Jesus as recorded in Matthew 6:31-33 (New King James Version),

“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

Every time we unearth Jesus from the Old Testament, we are effectively having an Emmaus experience. As stated in Luke 24:27, 32 (New King James Version),

“And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself…. “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?”

The risen Jesus restrained the eyes of that two Emmaus disciples from recognizing Him. It was because Jesus wants to give everyone an equal opportunity to see Him in the written Word.

Grace and truth came in the Person of Jesus Christ to die the death of the Cross as the definitive display and proof of God’s unconditional love for us (John 1:17; Romans 5:8, NKJV).

God the Father wants our hearts to be established by the truth of His gracious love (Hebrews 13:9, NKJV). This is so that we might reign in life through His love for us as personified by Jesus Christ and Him crucified (Romans 5:17, NKJV).
