Alfred Russel Wallace

Alfred Russel Wallace (1823–1913) was a British naturalist, geographer, anthropologist, and social reformer, best known as the co-discoverer of the theory of natural selection alongside Charles Darwin. Beyond science, Wallace was a passionate advocate for social justice, land nationalization, and equitable economic systems. His deep concern for poverty and inequality shaped his later writings, including The Remedy for Unemployment, where he applied scientific rigor and ethical reasoning to economic and social issues.
