Benjamin D. Giffone

Benjamin D. Giffone (PhD, Stellenbosch) is a pastor, chaplain, and missionary. He currently teaches Old Testament in a graduate program at a seminary in South Asia, while serving as a part-time pastor. He previously taught at a university in Lithuania for six years, and has also lectured at other universities and seminaries in North America, Eastern Europe, and Asia. He is the author of Sit at My Right Hand: The Chronicler's Portrait of the Tribe of Benjamin in the Social Context of Yehud (Bloomsbury, 2016); Storymaking, Textual Development, and Varying Cultic Centralizations: Gathering and Fitting Unhewn Stones (Mohr Siebeck, 2023); My Salvation Is Close At Hand: Isaiah 56-66 for the Church After Christendom (Wipf & Stock, 2025); and many articles on the Old Testament and related topics. He lives with his wife and two children in Western Pennsylvania.
