Berthold Auerbach

Berthold Auerbach was the pen name of Moses Baruch Auerbacher, a German Jewish poet and author. His most successful works include Schwarzwälder Dorfgeschichten (Tales of Villages in the Black Forest; 1843) and Auf der Höhe (On the Heights; 1865).
