Cameron McCarthy

The Editors: Cameron McCarthy is Research Professor and University Scholar in the Institute of Communications Research at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He is the author of The Uses of Culture (1998). He is also the coeditor, with Warren Crichlow, of Race, Identity, and Representation in Education (1993). Glenn Hudak is Professor of Education at Pace University. He is the author of several journal articles on knowledge, power, and identity. With Paul Kihn he is the coeditor of Labeling: Politics and Pedagogy (forthcoming). Shawn Miklaucic is a Ph.D. candidate in the Institute of Communications Research at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Paula Saukko is Lecturer in The Center for Mass Communications Research at the University of Leicester in England. She has published half a dozen articles on media, youth movements, and the discourse of anorexia.
