Chris West

Chris West is a novelist and non-fiction writer. His first book, Journey to the Middle Kingdom, was published in 1991. He has written four crime novels set in 1990s China; the first, recently republished as The Beijing Opera Murder, was nominated for Best First Novel at the World Mystery Convention. His latest work of fiction is What’s the Bloody Point of it All?, a novella he describes as a ‘philosophical romance’. His non-fiction works include The Beermat Entrepreneur and Eurovision! A History of Modern Europe through the World’s Greatest Song Contest. A former student of counselling, he is also author of The Karpman Drama Triangle Explained.
