Courtney Bender

Courtney Bender is Associate Professor in the Department of Religion and Sociology at Columbia University. She is the author of Heaven's Kitchen: Living Religion at God's Love We Deliver (2003), The New Metaphysicals: Spirituality and the American Religious Imagination (2010) and co-editor with Pamela Klassen of After Pluralism: Reimagining Religious Engagement (2010), together with numerous articles on religious practice in the United States.
