Dennis A. Smith

Dennis Anderson Smith grew up in Hammond, Indiana with his mother and 15 siblings. He cites his mother as the greatest influence on his developingcharacter, with her wisest motto being, "It doesn't matter how you treat me; it matters how I treat you." His home life and relationships also instilled in him a work ethic and tenacity that allows Dennis to keep going long after others would have given up.In between "regular jobs," Dennis made a modestly successful career as a musical and performing artist. He made two releases with his now-defunct band, Lucky Dogg. He also made himself available to help out friends and family, which is how he made his way into publishing. Using techniques he picked up to help himself learn, and sage advice from his own experience, he was able to help several of his nieces and nephews through school. That advice and wisdom became That's Smart! How to Improve Learning Habits, which he released in 2010 to critical praise. To get the best deal for himself and his customers, he founded Lions Quarter Publishing that same year to release That's Smart!-now in its second edition-and future titles, such as How to Commit Suicide.
