Caroline Shreeve

Caroline Shreeve was born in Huntingdon in 1943 and qualified as a doctor at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington. She then practiced as a hospital doctor and as a GP in Britain and in South Africa, later turning her knowledge to the pursuit of medical journalism. Following a symposium on evening primrose oil in 1981 she became interested in the application of herbal medicine. She also trained with the National Council of Psychotherapists as a hypnotherapist. In her work as a physician and hypnotherapist she has specialized in women's emotional problems and is therefore uniquely qualified to tackle the subject of the menopause. In addition to her London degree she is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and a licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians. She is also a contributor to a number of periodicals which include Over 21, Company and She magazine.
