Dwight L. Wilson is father to four sons and grandfather to two grandsons and two granddaughters. He lives in Ann Arbor with his wife Diane, an attorney. A former General Secretary of Friends General Conference and 41-year educator, he is the author of the 6-part historical fiction Esi Was My Mother, two collections of short stories, The Kidnapped and The Resistors, both published by Running Wild Press of Los Angeles, and two books of modern psalms, Modern Psalms in Search of Peace and Justice (FUM Press) and Modern Psalms of Solace and Resistance.
