Emil-Maria Claasen is Professor of Monetary and International Economics at the University of Paris-Dauphine. During the 1980s, he held academic positions at INSEAD (Fontainebleau), the European University Institute (Florence), New York university, and as Bundesbank Professor at the Freie Universitat Berlin. He is consultant to the Food and Agricultural Organization, the World Bank, the OECD and the International Monetary Fund.
