Gavin Davidson

Gavin Davidson worked for 12 years in mental health services as a Community Mental Health Team Social Worker, Approved Social Worker and Team Leader. He moved to Queen’s University Belfast in 2008 and is a Senior Lecturer in Social Work. His main research interests are in the deinstitutionalisation process; the effectiveness of mental health services; trauma; the recovery approach; coercion; and mental health legislation.
