James Joseph Walsh

James J. Walsch, MD, PhD, ScD, ED, (1865-1942) was a physician and a Catholic intellectual. He served as the dean of the School of Medical History and Nervous Disease at Fordham University in New York City, where he was the founding director of Fordham University Press. He was the author of dozens of books and articles and is credited with being the first lecturer on medical history in the United States.
