Jean-Claude Falmagne

Jean-Claude Falmagne is a research professor at the University of California, Irvine. He is the author of many mathematical papers and several books dealing with psychophysics, microeconomics, media theory, functional equations, and measurement theory in philosophy of science. Together with Jean-Paul Doignon, he developed the combinatoric and stochastic theory called Learning Spaces. Falmagne was the founder of the educational software ALEKS based on Learning Space theory. ALEKS has been used by about several millions students in 2017.
