Jean Gordon is a researcher, trainer and writer in mental health, law and social work education. She has worked as a social worker and mental health officer in a range of hospital, community mental health and supported employment settings in Scotland. Recent work has included co-editing Social Work and the Law in Scotland and developing a freely available Open University online course about personalisation and self-directed support in Scotland. Jean has, with Roger Davis, also contributed to a recent book about the role of the Approved Social Worker: Approved Mental Health Practice.
