Joan Dahr Lambert holds a Master's degree from The Harvard Graduate School of Education and has done three years of postgraduate work at New York University on female contributions to human evolution and the evolution of gender differences. She has taught at a variety of schools and colleges. She lives in New Hampshire and South Carolina with her husband. On a more personal note: I describe myself as an academic who accidentally became a novelist when I set out to write my first book, CIRCLES OF STONE. Intended as a nonfiction account of female contributions to evolution, it mysteriously transformed itself into a novel as words and scenes appeared spontaneously in my mind. The novel was published by Simon& Schuster in 1997; it was also published in ten other countries. In 2012, CIRCLES OF STONE was published as an e-book by the author. Since then I have written two other novels in the Mother People Series: CIRCLES IN THE SKY, which takes up the story after CIRCLES OF STONE ends, and ICE BURIAL, which tells the story of Otzi the Iceman, the five thousand year old man who was discovered beneath a glacier in the Italian Alps. All three are available as e-books and paperbacks at Amazon.com: Joan Dahr Lambert Page.I also write British-style mysteries. They feature Professor Laura Morland, an irrepressible sleuth with a love of adventure, an impetuous nature, and a tendency to be in the wrong place at the right time - all traits that land her in unexpected and often dangerous situations from which she must extricate herself with her unique combination of derring-do and practicality. The mysteries: Walking into Murder, Wading into Murder, Skiing into Murder are available as paperbacks and e books at Amazon.com: Joan Dahr Lambert page. The fourth mystery, Forgotten Sister (subtitled Tripping into Murder) is also available as an e-book.
