The author, Leena is an avid reader who was introduced to stories and story books at a very young age by her late father Sidharthan. The biggest impact was the way he created a world for her by reciting these stories in an imaginative manner. Being a Librarian, her profession moved her closer to the world of literature and inspired her to write. An avid blogger and sports enthusiast, this is her first, formal attempt at writing. She considers the Mahabharatha to be a book of life which is timeless. It is an epic that interprets every facet of life and human nature. While she admires the various characters of Mahabharatha, Bheema has always been her favourite. She has attempted to create an intense little story, built around some of the lesser known characters of the Mahabharatha, with Bheema as the protagonist.
