Mohammad Emran Khan,Ph.D. (Delhi University), is Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. With teaching and research experience of over 30 years, he has worked as a member of the Task Force on 'Waste to Energy Projects', Planning Commission of India; and Co-Principal Investigator for the project titled 'Pilot Demonstration of Clean Technology for Landfill Gas Recovery' at Okhla site, Delhi, MoEF, Govt. of India. Dr. Khan has more than 20 publications in reputed journals and presented over 30 papers in Conferences/Workshops/Symposia. He is the author of the book From Landfill Gas to Energy: Technologies and Challenges, and editor of Energy and Environment. He has also contributed a chapter in Solid Waste Management—An Indian Perspective.
