Manel Herat is Senior Lecturer in English Language and Linguistics and a Core Member of the Centre for Culture and Disability Studies at Liverpool Hope University, UK. Her research interests are interdisciplinary and span across World Englishes, Psychology of Language, the Language of Death and Dying (world war epitaphs) and Identity in Post- World War One letters. Her recent publications include Epistolary Constructions of Post-World War One Identity: the invisibility of Minority Groups (2021). Her writings have been published in Language Variation and Change and the International Journal of Language Studies.
