Paul Watson

Captain Paul Watson is a Canadian-American marine conservation activist who founded the direct-action group Sea Shepherd Conservation Society in 1977. He became familiar to the public through Animal Planet’s tv show, Whale Wars. He was awarded the Jules Verne Award which is dedicated to environmentalists and adventurers. A prolific writer, his most recent books include Death of a Whale (2021) and Orcapedia (2020) coauthored with Tiffany Humphrey.
