Peter Knight is Reader in Geography at Keele University. He is the author of more than 50 academic research papers and text books, and has been teaching Geography to undergraduates since 1987. He gained his degree in Geography from Oxford University, and his PhD from the University of Aberdeen. He has carried out research on glaciers and glacial landscapes in Greenland, Iceland, North America, South America and the UK. Peter is a Chartered Geographer and has been awarded a National Teaching Fellowship of the UK Higher Education Academy. His research has been funded by the Natural Environment Research Council, The Royal Society and The Leverhulme Trust.His previous books include: Glaciers (Routledge), Glacier Science and Environmental Change (Wiley-Blackwell), How to do your essays, exams and coursework in Geography (Routledge) and How to do your dissertation in Geography (Routledge). His research has been published in a wide range of scientific journals including Nature, Quaternary Science Reviews, Geology, and the Journal of Glaciology. He is also the editor of the Wiley-Blackwell Cryosphere Science book series.
