Pratinav Anil is is a Lecturer in History at St Edmund Hall, University of Oxford, whose writings have appeared in The Times, The Guardian, The SpectatorandHistory Today. He is the co-author, with Christophe Jaffrelot, ofIndia's First Dictatorship, also published by Hurst.
