Dr. Radha Krishna Rao Yarlagadda received his B.E. from the University of Mysore (1959), M.S. from South Dakota State University (1961), and Ph.D. from Michigan State University (1964). After 40 years of teaching, he retired as a professor of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Oklahoma State University (OSU), having advised 30 Ph.D. students during his career. These graduate students established the R.K. Rao Yarlagadda Graduate Scholarship Fund to support graduate students in the signal processing area at OSU. He has authored/coauthored four books, all in electrical engineering. His last book, Analog and Digital Signals and Systems, was translated into Chinese and published in 2017. Dr. Yarlagadda lives in Oklahoma with his wife, Marceil. To date, they have three children and five grandchildren.
