Richard E. Killblane served briefly as an Air Force historian before becoming the U.S. Army Transportation Corps Historian for over 18 years. In this job, he was deployed to Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan and Haiti to record first-hand logistics operations during military contingencies. He served 14 years in the U.S. Army as an enlisted man and officer in the Infantry and Special Forces. He has published numerous articles, chapters and books on military history. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and his Master of Art in History from the University of San Diego.
