ROBERT H. HOPCKE has two degrees in counseling: a Master of Arts in Theology, with a Pastoral Counseling emphasis, from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary, which is the degree under which I received my Marriage and Family Therapist license in 1986, and a second Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from California State University, Hayward (now Cal State East Bay). His professional background includes Unitas Personal Counseling in Berkeley, Operation Concern (now New Leaf Services) in San Francisco as coordinator of the AIDS Prevention Program as a member of the Board of Directors, serving as Vice-President and Program/Services chairperson, a faculty member for the Pacific Center for Human Growth in Berkeley and currently as President and Development/Events chairperson, and as Adjunct Faculty, Institute for Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto.
