Salvo Fagone

Salvo Fagone was born in Catania in 1979, the city where he graduated in Computer Science at the University of Catania.He has always been a scholar of ancient and modern history, and in 2016 he began a collaboration with the DPAA, aninstitution of the U.S. Department of Defense that deals with the search for soldiers missing in war. During the years hehas conducted research at the archives of the AFHRA, at Maxwell AFB, in Alabama, at the NARA in Washington DC, in the United States of America, and also in Canada, at the Library and Archives Canada (LAC), in England, at TheNational Archives (TNA) in Kew, in the French archives Le Service Historique de l'Armée de l'Air (SHAA), in the GermanBundesarchiv and in the New Zealand archives of Auckland. He has written articles for various national and internationalperiodicals. In October 2019, he published his first work, entitled Reconnaissance on Huskies. The Crucial Role of AirReconnaissance and Ultra Intelligence over Sicily and the Mediterranean. 1940-1943.
