Stephanie Hack Swoveland has a Master of Music degree in Performance and Pedagogy from the Universityof Houston, a Music Teaching Certificate from Carnegie Mellon University, and a B.A. in Music from theUniversity of South Florida. She has studied performance and teaching techniques in a college laboratorySuzuki program and at the Meadowmount School and the Aspen Music Festival. She has performed withsymphony, ballet, and opera orchestras, shows and various professional ensembles in the United States,Canada, and Europe. Her music teaching experience is varied and extensive. It includes developing andteaching classes in music theory for violinists and college music theory, as well as private and class violinlessons. She currently has her own music studio in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.She is the author of Third Position Easy and Melodic Violin Etudes published by Mel Bay.
