Steven M. Gillon is Scholar-in-Residence at the History Channel. He has taught at both Yale and Oxford and is currently professor of history at the University of Oklahoma. Gillon has written numerous books and articles about modern American politics and culture. His most recent books include "Pearl Harbor: FDR Leads the Nation to War" (Basic Books) and "The Pact: Bill Clinton, Newt Gingrich, and the Rivalry that Defined a Generation" (OUP). Professor Gillon hosts shows and serves as an on-air consultant for the History Channel. He also appears in numerous TV specials and on National Public Radio. Gillon lives in Norman, OK.
