Thomas Finley

THOMAS J. FINLEY is a professor of Old Testament and Semitics at Talbot School of Theology in California. He holds a B.A. from Biola College, a M.Div., from Talbot Theological Seminary, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Finley's area of expertise is Northwest Semitic languages, specifically Hebrew and Aramaic. He authored the Wycliffe Exegetical Commentary on Joel, Amos, Obadiah, the Everyman's Bible Commentary on Joel, Obadiah, Micah, and co-authored How Biblical Languages Work: A Student's Guide to Learning Hebrew and Greek. He also contributed notes on the prophets mentioned above to The Life Recovery Bible. His articles have appeared in Grace Theological Journal, Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society, Journal of Psychology and Theology, Vetus Testamentum, Zeitschrift fr Althebraistik, and Decision Magazine.
