Yunte Huang is author of numerous books, including Transpacific Displacement, Transpacific Imaginations, and Chinese Whispers. His creative nonfiction book, Charlie Chan, won the Edgar Award and was a National Book Critics Circle Award finalist. His Inseparable was named Best Book of the Year by the New York Times, NPR, and Newsweek. He has translated multiple books into Chinese. His newest book is final installment of the " Rendezvous with America" trilogy, Daughter of the Dragon: Anna May Wong's Rendezvous with American History which was named one of the Notable Books of the Year by the New York Times and a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award. Yunte Huang is Distinguished Professor of English at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
