Stream everything from the public broadcaster on your Android device. In this app you will find NPO Start and NPO Plus. Watch live or stream the best Dutch series, documentaries and reality series. Everything from the public broadcaster appears online for free in this app shortly after broadcast.

Please note: this app was completely updated in November 2023!

The application has the following functionalities for Android 7.0 and higher:

Streaming: stream endless homegrown reality, documentary and fiction series

Missed: Search and find programs you missed

Watch live: watch NPO 1, 2 and 3 and the digital theme channels live

Watch further: the app remembers where you left off in a program, so you can continue watching at another time

Chromecast: watch videos via Chromecast on your television

Also good to know:

If you use an Android version older than 7.0, the entire app will not be available

Due to rights, some programs and theme channels may not be viewable from abroad

If you use a non-original Android version such as Cyanogenmod, we cannot guarantee the operation of the app

Terrible, it's nice to be able to watch the shows, but having to use the app is almost not worth it. Half the time it doesn't even start, then the screen will just stay blue. Also logging in took me 5 tries, as it just didn't work. The "next episode" button is not there and it is not easy to find the next episode, you have to look it all up again for every new episode you want to watch. Casting also works for 1 ep, but the app has to be restarted as it disconnects after every episode.

- the 'my list' funtionality was removed - please bring it back - on android tv , you cannot see the summary/description of a video before starting to watch it (including watching ads) - long term issue, also in previous version, simply add another 'detail' screen in between the list and the viewer. - doesn't remember subtitle toggle - if technically possible, re-enable the sections in the video timeline - annoying ads (political issue)

Can't load any video! Previously the app worked quite ok, although the chromecast integration was not working well all the time.. But since a few weeks it does not load any video anymore, except for the commercials when I am not logged in, these play instantly! I have restarted my S7 and reinstalled the app a few times, without improvement. Considering I have a paid subscription, this app behaves ridiculous and this situation is unacceptable.
