The software designers apparently gave no consideration to pressing the same location on the phone when the phone doesn't respond, because when it finally does respond, the same location on the next screen may change something you didn't want changed. This wastes time and is bad design, and I think the newer version is worse than the older one in other ways, too. Also, Ring in general has problems picking motion up and misses a lot of important footage, including break-ins.

App worked great till a couple months ago. Now notifications are pointless if they even come through timely. The doorbell ring no longer works as a notification on the phone, only through the doorbell itself, there is no longer a video preview, the app does not open when you click on the notification, and on the rare occasion that it does open it brings you to a whole new live view rather than the footage it notified you about. The app has become pointless for notifications.

Terrible experience with Ring. Both devices broken down within 1 year. Battery is very weak. So basic features like motion detection can't be used unless you connect electricity to the doorbell. Notifications often don't show on my phone. For many features, like to see who was at you door, you have to pay extra.
