Auf dieser Grundlage folgt eine Analyse der ersten Jahre des Pontifikats von Papst Franziskus, sowie die seiner Reformen und deren Anstöße und Impulse. Schließlich soll auch geklärt werden, ob Papst Franziskus als der „nächste Konzilspapst“ bezeichnet werden kann. Abschließend enthält die Arbeit außerdem ein Interview zum Thema des Papstes mit einem Pfarrer.
