About this ebook

Monster Appetites is a novella length, steamy, standalone #whychoose Reverse Harem romance.

She was their sweetness. They were her monsters.

Humans only have one role on my world, to feed the monsters that crave us.

I am bred only to be sold off to the highest bidder,

On my eighteenth birthday I am put on an auction block.

It is there that I await my death.

The monsters who buy me are a triad of identical triplets,

With horns and tails, and skin as dark as the night.

I go to my death only to find a reason to live,

There is light in the dark.

But only when my monsters stand by my side,

And grace my bed.

This was a fast paced read. I really enjoyed it and the characters. The three brothers were extremely likeable as was Azalea. This story was one that started out kind of horrible for the main character. I can't really say too much because I don't want to give away any spoilers. It has some very steamy scenes so if you are not into that, don't read it..

4 1/2 stars -- Certainly a different take on monster romance, but one I enjoyed quite a bit. Azalea has spent her life believing her sole purpose was to be dutiful and to prepare for the day she'd die. Not just any death. Nope. She was going to be eaten by a monster. Then she met three alien princes who had other ideas of what to do with their newly acquired slave. Let the sexy times begin! Lots of steamy scenes with this one. The plot was a bit limited, but it worked for the story. I liked seeing Azalea go from meek to a strong woman. I wouldn't exactly call her fierce, but she finally learned to stand up for herself. The princes were sweet and ready to do anything to protect Azalea. While there were several fight scenes, and violence, I still consider this more of a lighter read. It's fast-paced, but held my attention. If you like monster romances, reverse harem, and want a quick read to lighten the mood, I recommend Monster Appetites. I was disappointed by the writing, plot, and world building of this romance novella. The world building was not great, considering the fact that this was a sci-fi universe with space ships and multiple planets, yet all the alien species were referred to as monsters instead of aliens. Also, there were so many unanswered questions in the world building and plot. Where was Mother getting all these human girl babies? Why would they all be pure females, if they were just sold to be eaten? Why would Mother care about how these slaves were used, so long as she got paid? Why would the other slaver attack the heroes and kidnap the heroine to eat when there were other human slave girls that would come on the market soon. The characterization of the heroes was also cardboard, with their personalities being undeveloped and undifferentiated from each other. I do not recommend this novella, and will not be reading anything else by this author. I received a free copy of this book, and am voluntarily leaving a review.
