Detective Chief Inspector Jim Sheehan has given Belfast’s Serious Crimes Unit everything — sleepless nights, a marriage to the job, and the relentless hunt for killers who slip through shadows.
Now, a chilling murder mystery grips Northern Ireland: a series of brutal killings staged with eerie biblical clues.
Each victim’s past hides a link, but in post-Troubles Belfast, trauma runs deep and everyone has secrets.
As Sheehan hunts a cunning predator who’s always one step ahead, the investigation drags him into corners of the city he thought he’d left behind — and into the path of Margaret, a captivating widow who stirs memories of the life he never lived.
With loyalties shifting like shadows and the body count rising, Sheehan must untangle a web of violence and deception before the next victim falls… and before the dangerous pull of his own guarded heart costs him everything.
Originally published by Crimson Cloak as The Doom Murders, Angel of Death is Book 1 of the award-winning The Inspector Sheehan Mysteries series and has been the recipient of three literary awards.
