 This book, based on my doctoral work, makes a modest attempt to study the processes and the problems involved in translating these texts mainly with regard to the all important task of achieving communicative and/or semantic equivalence proposed by Peter Newmark.

About the author

Dr.Ashok Vardhan Garikimukku holds a doctorate in English with a specialization in Translation Studies. His forte is Translation Studies, ELT and Soft Skills. He enjoys 22 years of teaching experience besides research experience. He has qualified APSET exam. He has qualified APTIS Test of British Council with ‘C’ grade on CEFR(Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) Scale. He is a British Council certified trainer who worked on the pilot project of APSCHE and Govt. of Andhra Pradesh for nurturing English Proficiency and Employability Skills of undergraduate and post  graduate students during 2017-2018. He received training on Soft Skills as part of Train the Trainer’s programme conducted by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh in collaboration with Infosys in 2007.
