RICHARD MURPHY is a WWII vet and journalist who has written for newspapers and magazines for many years, lives in Texas, and has a great-great-grandfather who was Sam Houston’s aide-de-camp at San Jacinto and a granduncle who was one of the original Texas Rangers.
