About this ebook

She survived the mountain. But something darker made it down with her.

Initiation was supposed to test Piper MacKenzie’s strength. Instead, it became a battleground—where betrayal cut deeper than blades, monsters cloaked in shadow hunted the living, and survival meant breaking more than bones. Barely alive and haunted by what she saw, Piper returns to the academy not as a hero… but as a threat.

Whispers follow her. So do enemies. And the man who once trained her—the one who now watches her like a storm he can’t outrun—might be the only person who believes her story about the creatures in the mist.

But belief won’t be enough.

Because the Shadow Veil wasn’t just a myth.

It’s back. It’s hungry. And Piper may be the only one who can stop what’s coming—if it doesn’t destroy her first.

Fans of gritty magic, brutal training grounds, and enemies-to-lovers tension will be devoured by this unrelenting installment in The League of Shadows & Roses Saga.

This series just gets better with each book and Piper has more trouble and danger this time. Friends and enemies are questionable, the Shadow Veil is a problem, and so much drama and intrigue to keep things interesting. The twists were fun and I loved it all.

The body and mind are pushed farther than they have before. Manipulation is the name of the game with a serving of violence and sex. Recommend reading the series in order or you'll be lost.
