I liked getting to know Caleb and Gemma better and read their story. This is a character/dialogue driven story and a lot takes place in a short amount of time. It left questions for me regarding some of the secondary characters; but, perhaps they are fodder for the next story.

I was looking forward to Caleb’s story in the Wounded Heroes series and it didn’t disappoint. Caleb had suffered a huge loss in his past and it was gratifying to see him work through it with Gemma and find happiness. Ms Shay always works in characters from previous stories in the series, love that!!
