About this ebook

Ā Fate has a twisted sense of humor, and sometimes, even an immortal druid sorcerer needs a little magical interference to claim his mate.

Coyle O’Caha has spent seven hundred years as a fierce Highland warrior, a charming rogue, and a powerful sorcerer. But despite centuries of searching, his soul remains incomplete—until the day Deri Sullivan walks into his seaside pub. The fiery beauty is on the run, her past cloaked in secrets, her future uncertain. From the moment he lays eyes on her, his druid instincts scream one undeniable truth—she’s his.

There’s just one problem. She’s human. Worse, she’s immune to his magic—and his charms.

Deri swore off smooth-talking, dangerously gorgeous men ages ago. Her new boss, with his sinful accent and smoldering silver eyes, is exactly the type she should avoid. But Coyle isn’t just a man—he’s something more. And the way he invades her dreams, stirring up magic she shouldn’t possess, terrifies her.

Because witches and humans don’t mix.

And if her past catches up with her, she won’t just lose her freedom—she’ll lose her life.

But Coyle has waited centuries for his mate, and he’ll be damned if he lets her slip away now.

Tropes:

Sadly, not the best either. There was so much potential for this plot and it felt terribly rushed. The characters were great and I enjoyed reading about them. Unfortunately, there wasn't much there to read. Even the love scene felt awkward with its pacing and dialogue. For a free story this wasn't bad, but I'd be disappointed if I had paid for it.

I loved this book. It is short but has a great story. Deri is a witch who is on a magic ban because of her ex and the PBI. Coyle is an Immortal Druid who is 700 years old and cannot wait until he meets his other half. On the run and unable to use magic Deri goes to the first town she remembered. When she is looking for work she keeps getting pushed to a pub, not just any pub, the one that Coyle owns. From the very beginning there is chemistry and attraction. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

Quick, very light problems (although life determining for the characters), insta-lust kept reigned in because of misconceptions. Fun.
