About this ebook

Celia Remington thought she left her old life behind when she fled from mob boss Bobby Doyle and went into hiding in Montana. As his personal chef, she was too close to danger -- and to Bobby’s son, Nick, a man she cared for but knew she could never have. Bobby would never allow it.

Now, starting fresh and reconnecting with her sister Anne, Celia works at a quiet bar, far from the mob's reach. But everything changes when Nick walks in, believing she was dead. In Helena, the two finally have a chance to explore the connection they were forced to leave behind.

But their reunion is short-lived. When Bobby’s hitmen come knocking, Celia and Nick are thrust back into the crosshairs of the powerful mob boss. And this time, there may be no place left to hide.

The characters are appealing, particularly as the trust between Nick, Celia, & the others quickly grows, along with Nick’s & Celia’s feelings for each other. With added elements of intrigue & danger, the storyline holds its own as the suspense builds with the looming threat of the mob discovering Nick—and potentially Celia—resulting in a threat to their lives. The strong emotions, interesting characters, & engaging narrative make this an enjoyable & captivating read.
