Die hier vorliegende Studie geht von der Grundannahme aus, dass die katholische Theologie die Menschwerdung Gottes in ihrer Rede von der Zweinaturenlehre bislang verkürzt dargestellt hat. Deshalb unternimmt sie den Versuch, den entsprechenden Gedanken konsequent zu Ende zu denken. Sie tut dies, indem sie die Lehre von der hypostatischen Union nicht isoliert thematisiert, sondern in einen erweiterten Kontext stellt. Damit wird das Defizit einer ontisch-mentalen Doppelstruktur überwunden.
