In der Bibel finden sich zwei Fassungen des Vaterunsers. Davon, ob diese beiden Gebetstexte aus dem Mund des Herrn stammen, hängt ab, wie nah eine Übersetzung des Herrengebets am Original zu sein hat oder ob dasselbe sogar in inhaltlicher Form verändert werden darf. Die bisherigen Antwortversuche vermochten nicht restlos zu erklären, weshalb es überhaupt zwei tradierte Texte gibt. In der hier vorliegenden Studie wird die neue These ins Spiel gebracht, dass beiden Texten ein Eigenwert zukommt.
